Assignments

Scores:

You can check the scores from your assignments in gradebook.

Submissions:

To submit the assignments you have to hand your assignments (on paper) to the receptionist at Continuing Studies office (HCC 2300). The receptionist will record the date and time of your submission, and put your assignments to my mailbox.

Important: If you are submitting after 5:25pm, bring your assignment to the lecture and give it directly to me!

Remarks:

  1. Late submission policy: Submissions received after deadline but no more than 2 days after deadline will receive only half of the points. Submissions received later than 48 hours after deadline will be not marked.

Weights:

Each assignment has weight 1.75%.

Evaluation:

·         An assignment will be released each week. Each assignment contains 3 to 7 problems. Only two problems of each assignment will evaluated:

o       one with the biggest number of submissions (weight 1%); and

o       one with the smallest number of submissions (weight 0.75%).

Remarks:

Thus, to achieve the maximum number of points, the safest strategy is to submit solutions to all problems of the assignment. Alternatively, one could guess the easiest and the most difficult problem in the assignment and submit only those. It’s up to you.
