DESIGN WORKS / LOGIC WORKS

DesignWorks, and its reduced educational version, LogicWorks are software packages that we will be using for designing the circuits in our assignments. These products are from Capilano Computing.

LogicWorks and its accompanying manual can be purchased if you are interested in owning the manual, but their purchase is not mandatory. Manuals are available on reserves in the library and self guided tutorials to use the system will be provided in the course as study materials.

Design works will be installed in the lab. Remote access to your files and DesignWorks is possible. TBA: . More information will be provided here about remote access.

M68 HC-12 ASSEMBLER EMULATOR

For this course, we will be programming a processor in its native assembly language. The processor we will use for this is the Motorola HC-12. We will use our regular PCs and simulate the HC-12 processor by means of an emulator.

This software will be installed in the CSIL-lab.
