LABS ACTIVITIES

  • Labs will include the active participation and discussion of specific exercises and/or topics, often working in teams. Individual consultations will also be addressed during the labs.
  • The lab exercises will be identified by the week # when the exercises were posted. Week #1 is considered to be the week that starts on January 2, hence with this numbering we are starting our course on Week #2 and the labs on week #3, January 16.

  • Labs will also include "IN-LAB self-guided tutorials".
Four (4) specific labs will include In-Lab self-guided tutorials on 4 specific weeks (associated dates TBA). The In-Lab self-guided tutorials consist on guided exercises to get you familiarized with the software that will be used for the graded assignments.

GRADING OF LAB ACTIVE PARTICIAPTION

Labs are meant to provide additional practice with exercises as well as guidance to use the software. Students actively participating in lab activities will receive active participation points. Students are expected to be involved in the activities that are presented at the labs and will be receiving points for active participation upon showing to the TA or instructor that they have worked on the exercises proposed. If you do not finish solving the exercise/s but demonstrate that you have worked on the activities proposed you still will get the active participation points.
