Assignments

There will be main assignments, roughly due every two weeks. There will be some occasional small assignments with brief exercises to be done as homework and/or in class. It will be indicated explicitly if the work is to be done individually or in teams. The option to work individually will be possible. Check the Course description → Academic honesty section for academic honesty policies.

The assignments and their due dates will be posted here as the course progresses.

Initial survey - Individual - Consulting about schedule, extra class and general. Due date/time: Wednesday January 18, 11:59 pm.
Assignment 1 (pdf). This assignment should be submitted via CourSys. If you write these solutions by hand you need to scan as a pdf document or take a picture as a jpeg or giff document. Due date: ~~Saturday February 4, 12:00 noon.~~ New deadline because of technical problems with submission: Monday February 6, 4:30 pm, before the lab starts.

Assignment 2 (pdf). All components of this assignment may be submitted via CourSys, or partly via CourSys and handing in original hardcopies (keep a copy of everything you submit). Please check the submission instructions in the assignment description and ask if you encounter any problems submitting. Due date: Monday February 27, 4:30 pm, before the lab starts.
Assignment 3 (pdf). All components of this assignment may be submitted via CourSys, or partly via CourSys and handing in original hardcopies (keep a copy of everything you submit). Please check the submission instructions in the assignment description and ask if you encounter any problems submitting. Due date: Monday March 12, 4:30 pm, before the lab starts.
Assignment 4 (pdf). This assignment may be done in groups of 2. This assignment does not require design works implementation, but just paper and pen/cil work. Please submit on line by the deadline (scanning or taking a picture) and bring a hardcopy to class the subsequent Monday after the deadline. Due date: Saturday March 24, 11:59 pm. A solution will be posted immediately after the deadline. No postponment of the deadline will be possible.
Assignment 5 (pdf). This assignment may be done in groups of 2. This assignment does not require design works implementation, but just paper and pen/cil work. Please submit on line by the deadline (scanning or taking a picture). To submit a paper copy you shoudl arrange with the instructor. Due date: Saturday April 7, 11:59 pm. A solution will be posted immediately after the deadline. No postponment of the deadline will be possible.
