Monday, Nov 20: Trial presentation no longer has a grade. Its 5% was added in to the group portion of the final presentation grade. Added link to article on oral presentations of graphs.

When the descriptions of the following assignments are available, they will become links. The assignment descriptions will include grading criteria.

There will be four individual assignments, totalling 40%:

There will be a term project, done in pairs (or, with instructor's permission, individually). The project will have four parts, totalling 60% (of which 10% will be an individual grade):

Three draft research plans (15%)
Final written report (20%)
Trial oral presentation of research report (no grade) . As you work on your presentations, you might find the following list of articles on using slide preparation programs useful. You might also refer to a preprint of an article I've written on proper presentation of graphs in a talk.
