This chapter contains an investigation of the effectiveness of the new intracranial boundary detection and RF correction algorithm introduced in Chapter 7. Results for 5 independent data volumes from 2 different MR scanners are studied. These data sets are detailed in the following section. Subsequent sections present and discuss the results output from each of the four steps in the algorithm. The algorithm proves effective for all 5 data sets.
