CS 885 : Future Multicore Architectures and their Software

  • 20% Class Participation and Presentation

Organization

This offering of CS885 has no TA support. Given the number of students in the course, it is not practical for me to review each student individually, hence we are going to emphasize on team work.

The first 4-5 weeks in the course I will present material on multicore processors and teach parallel programming. The second half of the course we will be having student-led presentations. For each week starting (tentatively in June 15th) a group of 4 students will lead the discussion on a specific topic during each week. All students in a group will get the same grade for the class presentation. You can select your own group.

For the programming assignments you will work in groups of two. The other member should not be from your presentation group.

Uversity Code of Conduct and Policies

All students should adhere to SFU Student Code of Academic Conduct. This course is on special topics designed to help you learn new things and so you are only cheating yourself.
