Larry Cohen: 3. So much still to learn. It's tempting to do something big, but let me hear one more call from partner before deciding on our future.
Steve Weinstein: 4NT. It's quantitative, because I could bid 4 if I was interested in Blackwooding in clubs. Which I kinda am! If my K Q were the A, I would bid 4.
Samuel Krikler: 3. This describes 12 of my 13 cards.
Julien Levesque: 3. Not sure where we are going to land, but a strong hand in values. Let's force with 3 and see what partner does.
Michael Dimich: 4. . . or 4NT. I think 4 is more forward going.
Jake Grabow: 3. Bid what you have and I have 3 diamonds and it even leaves space for a precise description from partner. Better than just checking aces.
Christopher Diamond: 3. Not sure where I'm going so stall. Will be harder after 3NT by pard. Maybe 4.
Gabor Sandi: 4NT. Blackwood. Go to 6NT if he has one key card and 7NT with both.
Robert Sauve: Pass. Misfit. Play for a plus.
Larry Meyer: 3. Bid out my shape. Don't close up shop in 3NT in case partner has a bit more than a minimum.
Perry Khakhar: 3. This must be partial stopper first. Over 3NT, I plan on raising to 4NT. Over a simple preference, I will bid 3NT. Should show extra values.
Allan Simon: 3. If partner bids 3N, I will raise to 4N. I don't want to be in slam unless partner's clubs are solid or he has extras.
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 3. Let's try to maximise info as cheaply as possible. Many contracts/levels still in the realm of possibilities.
Paul McMullin: 3. I do not know where we are going, but I CAN take my time getting there!
Earle Fergusson: 3. Must take a serious look at slam while finding the right strain.
Hendrik Sharples: 3. . . endplaying partner into 3NT to be followed by a quantitative 4NT.
Lars Erik Bergerud: 3NT. I envision partner has a likely entry together with K Q J 10 x x.
Kf Tung: 3. I have a 5431 hand, partner, and mild slam interest.
Louk Verhees: 4. Only 2 options: 4 or support clubs through 3. If partner has a diamond stopper he will have real good clubs, otherwise he would have bid 2NT.

Moderator: An impossible situation to be sure. The panel are split between bidding 3 to sort out the stopper situation, bidding 3NT without a spade stopper, or taking their likely plus in 3.
Daniel Korbel: 3. I think the general consensus is that this asks rather than tells. I could be wrong about this. My second choice is pass, but I doubt anyone chooses it.
Jeff Meckstroth: 3NT. Too much to pass. They don't rate to have a five-card spade suit anywhere. Surely partner could have the A as well.
Zachary Grossack: Pass. The prospect of bidding 3NT with two low spades and a 99% chance of getting a spade lead is one I don't intend to face. I'll pass and try not to go minus.
Samuel Krikler: Pass. No prospects for game or a better spot. The 9 is the curse of Scotland!
Michael Dimich: 3. I need partner to bid NT from their side.
Jake Grabow: Pass. I don't have to like it to bid it.
Christopher Diamond: Pass. Ugly and everything is bad. 3NT will wrong side it. 4 is a road to where? So timid pass and hope a plus is good.
Gabor Sandi: 4. 3NT too iffy, what if they run spades against you?
Larry Meyer: 3NT. We seem to have enought HCP for game, so bid the most likely game to make.
Perry Khakhar: Pass. Maybe we will get a plus. Where do you want to go if partner is 3262?
Allan Simon: Pass. At matchpoints Pass is clear-cut.
Ig Nieuwenhuis: Pass. Misfit. Get out.
Paul McMullin: 4. Not a whisper of a spade stopper here, so no 3NT bid from me!
Earle Fergusson: 3NT. Could be a disaster, but must be done.
Hendrik Sharples: 3NT. Stoppers and a source of tricks are for children.
Lars Erik Bergerud: 3NT. Fair chances for the spades to split 4-4 if partner happens to be without a spade stopper.
Kf Tung: 3NT. I have 3 tricks. We've got enough power and 3N wins more often than 5.
Louk Verhees: Pass. Impossible. Just completely guessing. But trying for a plus score.

Moderator: There are many who would have opened 1NT on the first round. That would have solved our present rebid problem, but here we are. Half the panel gamble on 3NT.
Amber Lin: 3NT. It will be hard to figure out the best contract. My hand is not slow, so I think there's some chance we have nine top tricks. If not, I am worried about a heart stop because my partner rates to have shorter hearts for doubling, and the vulnerable 2 bidder is more likely to hold the card we might need to knock out. But maybe I'll find partner with Q x or J x x. For what it's worth, I would have opened this hand 1NT.
Steve Robinson: 3. If I have opened 1NT, I'd have shown my 16 points. Opposite: x x x x x A x x x A x x x, we belong in 3.
Kerri Sanborn: 3. If this draws 3 from partner, I will bid the slow-auction 3NT, suggesting doubt, which I surely have on this hand.
Samuel Krikler: 4. I have extras. 3N is too much of a gamble with only 1 stopper and no guaranteed source of tricks.
Michael Dimich: 3. West being vulnerable isn't bidding on garbage. A small plus is better than a minus.
Jake Grabow: 3. It's in the system, regardless how ugly those clubs are.
Christopher Diamond: 3. Hate it. 2NT not enough. Same with 3. Probably would have opened 1NT.
Gabor Sandi: 2NT. Partner must have clubs and diamonds.
Larry Meyer: 3. Partner asked me to pick a minor, so show him my longer minor suit.
Perry Khakhar: 4. I want to show the extras! This control-rich hand may easily make 6 opposite a good 11 in partner's hand.
Allan Simon: 3NT. Best to play NT from my side in case partner has Q x or J x x. If he doesn't, I hope we have 9 runners. Too strong for 2N!
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 4. Don't like the quality of the clubs, but the rest deserves a slam try.
Paul McMullin: 3. I almost wish I had opened 1NT instead of 1.
Earle Fergusson: 3. Gotta be in game with a negative double at this level.

Jill Meyers: 3. Assuming partner has both majors, I am going to bid 3, which should be invitational-plus in at least one major. I did not overcall 1, so this is clearly not natural.
Mel Colchamiro: 4. I've got outside aces; I've got major-suit fillers and we have two fits. K Q x x x A K x x x x x x gives us enough to withstand a 4-1 break in one of the majors. If they're both 4-1, too bad.
Samuel Krikler: 3. Choose a major.
Michael Dimich: 3. Matchpoints is about pluses.
Jake Grabow: Dbl. . . for blood. They can't play anything undoubled from now on, and partner will know we have values.
Christopher Diamond: 4. Should be enough opposite a vul Michaels.

Larry Meyer: 3. I may be dead flat, but I do have 3-card support for both of partner's majors, and the aces of both minor suits.
Perry Khakhar: 4. I'd like to bid 3. But I'm afraid that partner may misunderstand. 4 should show a good hand with no preference for either major, but 4 makes it clear. Where there are 9, there are 10?
Allan Simon: 4. Maybe West will bid 5? That would provide a bit of comic relief.
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 4. Assuming 2 is not natural. Then 4X is a good spot.
Paul McMullin: 4. Hopefully this is 'Pick your best major'!

Lars Erik Bergerud: 4. Nice if it conveys an opening hand with fit so slam is possible opposite some forward going hands which pass on a jump to 4M. Pard is more likely to interpret it as bid your best major which may turn out to be the right thing to do anyway.
