Moderator: The plurality begin with a nebulous cue-bid.
Kerri Sanborn: 4NT. I play 4NT not as ace-asking, but usually two-suited. When partner bids the expected 5C, I can either bid 6D to bring both red suits into play or bid 6H to invite seven. I would think 6H is more in keeping with this hand. If I bid 5H after 4NT, that would be a slam try.
Daniel Korbel: 5NT. Annoying opponents. We might be off two aces or we might have a grand slam, there's no easy way that I can think of to figure it out. I will correct 6C to 6D, of course, and hope for the best.
Sylvia Shi: 4S. What I'd really love to do is set trumps and bid keycard . . . I'll settle for a slam try in hearts. Hopefully with 2.5 keycards, my partner will go.
Craig T. Wilson: 4S. Slam is possible.
Anssi Rantamaa: 4S. High level Michaels?
Christopher Diamond: 5NT. If he has enough for a takeout, I'm guessing we have a red suit slam.
Larry Meyer: 5H. Assume pard has a black ace for his double, so ask him to bid 6H with 2 of the top 3 hearts.
Stuart Carr: 4NT. Raise 5H to 6H, 5D to 6D.
Andrew Krywaniuk: 5H. With limited bidding space, I take this as a general slam invite rather than a second round control ask.
Paul Mcmullin: 4NT. Should be straight Blackwood - how many aces DO we have?
Hendrik Sharples: 6H. One of the few times I wish 4NT was ace asking in this sequence.
Timothy Wright: 4S. Thanks to East, Leaping Michaels is out of the picture, so the cue bid it is.
David Gordon: 4S. Make a try.
Allan Simon: 4NT. . . Blackwood by agreement with my regular partners.
Kf Tung: 6H. . . practical. Bid 6H and they will defend. 6S is a cheap sacrifice.

Moderator: 3S wins the popular vote.
Mike Lawrence: 3S. 3D looks like a good idea, but if partner bids 4C, I'm stuck at the four level. 3S is a big bid that may get my partner's attention while letting me play in 3S if he has a bad hand: Sx Hx x x DQ x x C9 8 7 6 5 2.
Steve Robinson: Dbl. To make 4S, all we need is to not lose two heart tricks and find the SQ. If partner has the H10 or the opposing hearts are 3-3, we'll not lose two heart tricks. I'm doubling just in case partner has hearts.
Mel Colchamiro: 4S. I can see we're nonvulnerable, but do you mean I'm supposed to stop short of game at IMPs? At matchpoints, I would settle for 3S.
Craig T. Wilson: 3S. Four-loser hand. I need as little as the SQ from partner to make game.
Larry Meyer: 2S. I need a sign of life from partner before I can bid game.
Andrew Krywaniuk: 3S. With a 4-loser hand, it doesn't really hurt to jump here.
Hendrik Sharples: 2S. I would have preferred to overcall 1S and then double 2D.
Timothy Wright: 3S. I want to give partner all sorts of reasons to bid game.
David Gordon: 2S. Bid hearts next.
Allan Simon: 3S. Giving partner an out. Game is not exactly laydown.
Kf Tung: 3S. You want to play 3S, you don't want to defend 3D.

Moderator: Bob Hamman, world and NABC champion many, many times over: 'If you have a choice of reasonable bids and one of them is 3NT, then bid it.'
August Boehm: Dbl. Destination unknown. Maybe 3NT.
Jill Meyers: 3NT. . . and I hope for a non-diamond lead, or that partner has a diamond card. It feels like I might have nine tricks quicker than 10.
Craig T. Wilson: Dbl. . . then bid hearts. A game is possible.
Christopher Diamond: 3NT. When in doubt . . .
Larry Meyer: Dbl. I need a sign of life from partner before I can bid game.
Andrew Krywaniuk: 3NT. Cold on a spade lead and should have chances otherwise.
Hendrik Sharples: 3NT. If it's wrong I'll claim I mis-sorted a couple of hearts in with my diamonds.
Timothy Wright: 4H. I get it. Let's bid 3NT because 9 tricks might be easier. But we could miss a heart slam that way.
David Gordon: Dbl. A bit too good for 4H.
Allan Simon: Dbl. Over 3D, I rebid 3NT. Else 4H.
Kf Tung: 3NT. One trick from partner is expected.

Moderator: The panel majority opt for 3S.
Zachary Grossack: 3S. Double by partner is likely extra values with three spades. I have a pretty resonable hand opposite that, so I will jump to three to show it.
Josh Donn: 3H. Too good for 2S or 3D, which are both weak hands, but not good enough spades for 3S. Whatever partner is doing, I'm interested.
Anssi Rantamaa: Pass. Might be our only plus.
Christopher Diamond: 3D. 1S was pretty wimpy. Sounds like he has a big balanced hand.
Larry Meyer: Pass. I have already shown my suit, and the opps are in a suit that pard has shown, so his double is for penalty.
Andrew Krywaniuk: 3D. Since I'm better than minimum I'll show my second suit.
Hendrik Sharples: 3D. I think the second double shows extras with 3 spades so I'll try for game. I hope partner is on the same page.
Timothy Wright: 3D. Showing my shape.
David Gordon: 3D. Natural and forward going to 4S.
Allan Simon: Pass. You have to be aggressive if you want to win at matchpoints.
Kf Tung: 3D. Spades, diamonds, and a moderate hand.

Moderator: The panel are divided between double and 3NT.
Larry Cohen: 3NT. Please don't show this to my students. Well, because you have to, explain it this way: Closing your eyes and bidding 3NT whenever it is at all possible seems to work quite well.
Roger Lee: Dbl. It looks a little strange, but getting the majors in is too important.
Christopher Diamond: Dbl. I actually want to bid 3NT again. That is likely to be my next call anyway.
Larry Meyer: Dbl. Hoping to find a fit in the majors, else will try 3NT.
Andrew Krywaniuk: Dbl. Perfect situation for an equal-level-conversion double.
Hendrik Sharples: 3NT. Stuck with a blind guess I'll go for the call that pays best when it's right.
Timothy Wright: 3H. BBS does not have equal-level conversion, so pulling 3D to 3H shows a very big hand.
Allan Simon: Dbl. Over 3D I rebid 3NT.
Kf Tung: 3H. Usually about equal strength, they have clubs and you have hearts. Occasionally partner has 10 points and hearts, and you can make 4H!
