Moderator: Why couldn't righty have raised to 2? Then you could double responsively to show the other two suits. But you can't double partner, so now you're stuck.
Larry Cohen: 3. I just can't get myself to pass vulnerable at IMPs. No other move really fits. (I can't see that I want to emphasize my diamonds.) I'd hate to play in 2 making four opposite say A x x A K Q x x x x x x x.
Zach Grossack: 2. Too tough! Vulnerable at IMPs, I feel this hand is too good to pass with partner overcalling at the two level. And I don't care for 3 because it takes up too much space and doesn't really even pinpoint my values. I will try this and see if something good happens.
Mike Lawrence: Pass. Should be (but won't be) unanimous. Yes, you have some values, but reaching for a game is against the odds, particularly since you don't know which game you're looking for.
Jeff Meckstroth: 3. Seems like I need to take a bid. I want to try for the game bonus.
Christopher Diamond: 3. Some structure would be nice. Have to do something and 3 will not achieve anything. 2 would be handy if it was just a general one round force.
Larry Meyer: Pass. With 16+ HCP, pard would have doubled, so game unlikely our way.
Stephen Vincent: Pass. Yes it's possible we have a game but there is no clear path forward. Besides West may reopen.
Paul Mcmullin: 3. There are no comfortable bids for this hand.
Ig Nieuwenhuis: Pass. Hope it doesn't end here. All may be well if it does.
David Gordon: 3. Enough for 1 advance.
Kf Tung: 2NT. Look for 3NT.
Timothy Wright: 3. I can stand a 3 rebid even if it gets us to a 5-2 fit, and I want partner to upgrade diamond honors.
Mike Roberts: 3. Obviously don't like this much, but feels like a smidgen too much to pass, and 3 is a game force.

Moderator: The majority compete to the 4-level.
Larry Cohen: Pass. You don't want me to violate the Law of Total Tricks in print, do you?
Sylvia Shi: 3. Partner can comfortably raise with a doubleton. With a singleton, hopefully partner will retreat to their 6-card suit at the 4-level. I expect they should if they are 6-5. 2NT is serious business at red vs white.
Steve Robinson: 4. I expect to have play for 4 because partner is vulnerable. Also, I want a diamond lead against 4. This lets partner bid on if he has a real strong hand.
Christopher Diamond: 3. He should have a good hand and he might have good enough spades.
Larry Meyer: 3. At least my honours in the minors should be working, so bid the boss suit.
Stephen Vincent: 3. Can retreat to 4 if necessary.
Paul Mcmullin: Pass. Do the opponents have a Michaels defense, or is the 3 bid a bit ambiguous?
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 4. What will I do if 4 comes back to me? Depends on agreements about strength of 2NT.
David Gordon: 4. Will try 4 over opponents' 4.
Kf Tung: 3. Look for 4.
Timothy Wright: 4. Red versus white, partner's 2NT shows a very good hand.
Mike Roberts: Pass. Soft stuff, no great fit. Letting sleeping dogs lie.

Moderator: The crowd favourite is 3NT on this misfit.
Jill Meyers: 4. 3NT could be right, but without any hearts, I am opting to let partner play in 4, although I feel a little tortured by this problem because 3NT could be the right call.
August Boehm: 3NT. 3NT may make on power, and if partner insists on hearts, my honour tricks should compensate for the heart void.
Christopher Diamond: 4. Unusual to kick out a 4th suit at the 4-level. But since I am not bidding notrump, I might as well check out clubs on the way to 4. Who knows, maybe he has both round suits.
Larry Meyer: 4. Bid out my shape and show extra values.
Stephen Vincent: 3NT. Partner can correct to 4 with semi-solid hearts.
Paul Mcmullin: 3NT. If we are playing fourth suit forcing, this should end the auction - I am hoping that he has one or two of the black jacks or tens!
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 3NT. I held this type of hand yesterday: results vary. This is my best shot.
David Gordon: 3NT. Subside in game with misfit.
Kf Tung: 3NT. No slam interest.
Timothy Wright: 4. Partner likely has a very good suit but does not have the side suit strength to force to game, so 3NT is a poor gamble here.
Mike Roberts: 3NT. Hamman's Law applies here.

Moderator: The panel choose the 3-card raise.
Zach Grossack: Pass. With length in the overcaller's suit, I like pass here. I want to hear some more action before I evaluate the strength of my hand. My hand could be really powerful for my partner if she has heart shortness. And I won't be upset if this gets passed out - then we probably don't have game.
Barry Rigal: 2. What's a trump among friends? Doubtless an unpopular acion, but it feels right to get the hand off my chest at once.
Christopher Diamond: 2. A little heavy, a little short. Otherwise perfect.
Larry Meyer: 1NT. Gets my shape and strength across to pard, although my heart stopper is tenuous.
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 2. Don't like it but it's the least lie.
David Gordon: 1NT. Hopefully enough length in hearts to delay a run in the suit
Timothy Wright: 1NT. Right on shape, strength, and maybe even stoppers.
Mike Roberts: 2. 1NT and 2 are both fine bids, but I've owed partner trumps before.

Moderator: Most panelists dutifully trot out their four-card suit.
Josh Donn: 1NT. I wish I had more, but neither 1 nor 2 appeals, so I will go for the strain that looks correct.
Daniel Korbel: 2. . . the bid least likely to send partner into the stratosphere and also my only four-card suit. 1NT is ruled out by the lack of values; you would also have to make this bid with two kings more, and that's too tough on the partnership.
Mel Colchamiro: 1. My philosophy of a lifetime: When in doubt, guess well. Certainly 1 could beget 3 or 4, and 1 could suffer the same fate. 1NT (ugh) could beget 3NT, and 2 could beget 2 or 2NT. I'm hoping that hearts is NOT partner's four-card major and that he is about to rebid 1NT showing 19-21.
Christopher Diamond: 2. You're supposed to bid your longest suit right? I read that in a book once.
Larry Meyer: 2. Take out the takeout double in my longest suit.
Stephen Vincent: 1. Maximizes wriggle room.
Paul Mcmullin: 1. Another cheapest disaster bid!
David Gordon: 2. Partner asked for my longest suit.
Bob Todd: 2. Ugly problems.
Kf Tung: 1. Run!
Timothy Wright: 1. Keep the bidding as low as possible.
Mike Roberts: 2. This is my best suit. Isn't that what partner asked for?
