Moderator: Why couldn't righty have raised to 2S? Then you could double responsively to show the other two suits. But you can't double partner, so now you're stuck.
Larry Cohen: 3H. I just can't get myself to pass vulnerable at IMPs. No other move really fits. (I can't see that I want to emphasize my diamonds.) I'd hate to play in 2H making four opposite say SA x x HA K Q x x x Dx Cx x x.
Zach Grossack: 2S. Too tough! Vulnerable at IMPs, I feel this hand is too good to pass with partner overcalling at the two level. And I don't care for 3D because it takes up too much space and doesn't really even pinpoint my values. I will try this and see if something good happens.
Mike Lawrence: Pass. Should be (but won't be) unanimous. Yes, you have some values, but reaching for a game is against the odds, particularly since you don't know which game you're looking for.
Jeff Meckstroth: 3D. Seems like I need to take a bid. I want to try for the game bonus.
Christopher Diamond: 3H. Some structure would be nice. Have to do something and 3D will not achieve anything. 2S would be handy if it was just a general one round force.
Larry Meyer: Pass. With 16+ HCP, pard would have doubled, so game unlikely our way.
Stephen Vincent: Pass. Yes it's possible we have a game but there is no clear path forward. Besides West may reopen.
Paul Mcmullin: 3D. There are no comfortable bids for this hand.
Ig Nieuwenhuis: Pass. Hope it doesn't end here. All may be well if it does.
David Gordon: 3D. Enough for 1 advance.
Kf Tung: 2NT. Look for 3NT.
Timothy Wright: 3D. I can stand a 3H rebid even if it gets us to a 5-2 fit, and I want partner to upgrade diamond honors.
Mike Roberts: 3H. Obviously don't like this much, but feels like a smidgen too much to pass, and 3D is a game force.

Moderator: The majority compete to the 4-level.
Larry Cohen: Pass. You don't want me to violate the Law of Total Tricks in print, do you?
Sylvia Shi: 3S. Partner can comfortably raise with a doubleton. With a singleton, hopefully partner will retreat to their 6-card suit at the 4-level. I expect they should if they are 6-5. 2NT is serious business at red vs white.
Steve Robinson: 4D. I expect to have play for 4D because partner is vulnerable. Also, I want a diamond lead against 4H. This lets partner bid on if he has a real strong hand.
Christopher Diamond: 3S. He should have a good hand and he might have good enough spades.
Larry Meyer: 3S. At least my honours in the minors should be working, so bid the boss suit.
Stephen Vincent: 3S. Can retreat to 4D if necessary.
Paul Mcmullin: Pass. Do the opponents have a Michaels defense, or is the 3H bid a bit ambiguous?
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 4D. What will I do if 4H comes back to me? Depends on agreements about strength of 2NT.
David Gordon: 4D. Will try 4S over opponents' 4H.
Kf Tung: 3S. Look for 4S.
Timothy Wright: 4D. Red versus white, partner's 2NT shows a very good hand.
Mike Roberts: Pass. Soft stuff, no great fit. Letting sleeping dogs lie.

Moderator: The crowd favourite is 3NT on this misfit.
Jill Meyers: 4H. 3NT could be right, but without any hearts, I am opting to let partner play in 4H, although I feel a little tortured by this problem because 3NT could be the right call.
August Boehm: 3NT. 3NT may make on power, and if partner insists on hearts, my honour tricks should compensate for the heart void.
Christopher Diamond: 4C. Unusual to kick out a 4th suit at the 4-level. But since I am not bidding notrump, I might as well check out clubs on the way to 4H. Who knows, maybe he has both round suits.
Larry Meyer: 4C. Bid out my shape and show extra values.
Stephen Vincent: 3NT. Partner can correct to 4H with semi-solid hearts.
Paul Mcmullin: 3NT. If we are playing fourth suit forcing, this should end the auction - I am hoping that he has one or two of the black jacks or tens!
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 3NT. I held this type of hand yesterday: results vary. This is my best shot.
David Gordon: 3NT. Subside in game with misfit.
Kf Tung: 3NT. No slam interest.
Timothy Wright: 4H. Partner likely has a very good suit but does not have the side suit strength to force to game, so 3NT is a poor gamble here.
Mike Roberts: 3NT. Hamman's Law applies here.

Moderator: The panel choose the 3-card raise.
Zach Grossack: Pass. With length in the overcaller's suit, I like pass here. I want to hear some more action before I evaluate the strength of my hand. My hand could be really powerful for my partner if she has heart shortness. And I won't be upset if this gets passed out - then we probably don't have game.
Barry Rigal: 2D. What's a trump among friends? Doubtless an unpopular acion, but it feels right to get the hand off my chest at once.
Christopher Diamond: 2D. A little heavy, a little short. Otherwise perfect.
Larry Meyer: 1NT. Gets my shape and strength across to pard, although my heart stopper is tenuous.
Ig Nieuwenhuis: 2C. Don't like it but it's the least lie.
David Gordon: 1NT. Hopefully enough length in hearts to delay a run in the suit
Timothy Wright: 1NT. Right on shape, strength, and maybe even stoppers.
Mike Roberts: 2D. 1NT and 2C are both fine bids, but I've owed partner trumps before.

Moderator: Most panelists dutifully trot out their four-card suit.
Josh Donn: 1NT. I wish I had more, but neither 1H nor 2C appeals, so I will go for the strain that looks correct.
Daniel Korbel: 2C. . . the bid least likely to send partner into the stratosphere and also my only four-card suit. 1NT is ruled out by the lack of values; you would also have to make this bid with two kings more, and that's too tough on the partnership.
Mel Colchamiro: 1H. My philosophy of a lifetime: When in doubt, guess well. Certainly 1H could beget 3H or 4H, and 1S could suffer the same fate. 1NT (ugh) could beget 3NT, and 2C could beget 2D or 2NT. I'm hoping that hearts is NOT partner's four-card major and that he is about to rebid 1NT showing 19-21.
Christopher Diamond: 2C. You're supposed to bid your longest suit right? I read that in a book once.
Larry Meyer: 2C. Take out the takeout double in my longest suit.
Stephen Vincent: 1H. Maximizes wriggle room.
Paul Mcmullin: 1H. Another cheapest disaster bid!
David Gordon: 2C. Partner asked for my longest suit.
Bob Todd: 2C. Ugly problems.
Kf Tung: 1H. Run!
Timothy Wright: 1H. Keep the bidding as low as possible.
Mike Roberts: 2C. This is my best suit. Isn't that what partner asked for?
