Research and Development
Mathematical Modeling:Expert in fully nonlinear computational fluid- and magneto-fluid dynamics. Extensive background in research and design of pseudospectral, finite difference, and finite element algorithms. Extensive "retrofitting" of declassified thermonuclear weapons codes for astrophysical research. Professional experience with mathematical inverse theory, spacecraft remote sensing, time series analysis, 2D maximum entropy image reconstruction in geophysics and astrophysics, and numerical methodologies of exploration geophysics.
Computing:
Over 30 years experience with most operating systems on most platforms. Extensive super- and mini-super computer time. Root user for Sun/Spark Work Station clusters. Over 30 years of programming experience (Fortran, Pascal, C, C++, IDL, Visual Basic, Visual Fortran, etc.). Pedagogic experience with Artificial Intelligence languages. Professional experience performing "in-field" geophysical data analysis (Geopak/RTICAD).
Industry:
Cofounder and former Director of Research of Enterra Environmental Corporation, dedicated to developing alternative, economically viable energy systems in accordance with the Kyoto Protocol. Research principally involves the modeling of the pyroelectric conversion of waste heat to electricity.
