Prospective Graduate Students

My research is broadly in the area of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, including, but not limited to:

• belief change (including belief revision and belief merging)
• reasoning about action and change
• defeasible reasoning
• preference handling

Possible theses can be either theoretical projects or (for M.Sc.'s) involving an implementation.

• For theoretical work, some knowledge of logic would be an asset.
• You don't need to have an undergrad degree in Computer Science.
  • However, being in a related or relevant area (e.g. mathematics, philosophy, cognitive science) would be good.
