References (if any).DO NOT QUOTE MY SLIDES UNLESS
IT IS REGARDING SOMETHING THAT IS NOT IN THE TEXTBOOK OR SOMETHING I
HANDED OUT IN CLASS. If you quote my slides, refer to them (eg. Gabier,
Saaligh CMPT320 d1 Classnotes "Mesthene Vs McDermott", 2003). The
reason
for this is that you should get used to using references. There are
many formats, I don't mind which one you use as long as you are
consistant. The general rule for references is that you only give a
reference when you use a point which is not commonly known.
If you have a question, feel free to ask me

Reflection papers:
You must hand in three reflection papers by the end of
the semmester. These papers should be about 1 page long single spaced
or
two pages double spaced (absolutely not longer, although it may be a
bit
shorter). Choose a topic that we have discussed previously in class
(you may go back a maximum of two classes).
You can only submit one reflection paper every second week. Don't wait
too long before you hand in your first one!!!
The reflection papers do NOT require research. It should not take more
than 1 - 2 hours to complete (not including editing). I want you to
give
me YOUR opinion. If you agree with something, tell me why. If you
disagree, tell me why. You may compare and contrast two writers and
state which one you support.
