Important Conditions Regarding Grading

For each deliverable or meeting each member of a group will normally receive the same grade. However, there are some situations in which grades of group members may differ. These situations include
  • Any student who misses their team's client meeting will receive a grade of 0 for the Client meeting
  • Any student who misses their team's client requirements review will receive a grade of 0 for the client requirements review
  • Any student who misses both their team's client iteration review meetings will receive a grade of 0 for both meetings
  • Any student who misses their team's User Acceptance test (UAT) will receive a grade of 0 for the UAT
  • In case of a dispute between team members that is resolved by the instructor grades of individual team members may be adjusted to reflect the findings of the dispute resolution
  • The instructor may adjust grades of team members in the following situations:
    • A student contributes significantly less than a fair share of work to the project based on the volume and quality of their contributions to the team's SVN repository may have their grade reduced to reflect the level of their participation in the project
    • A student contributes significantly more than a fair share of work to the project based on the volume and quality of their contributions to the team's SVN repository may have their grade increased to reflect the level of their participation in the project

In order to obtain a clear pass (C- or better) you must receive an overall grade of C- or better in the course AND your combined score on the Midterm and Final exams must exceed 50% (25/50).

If you receive a higher grade on the final exam than on the midterm exam, the weight of the midterm will be reduced to 7.5% and the weight of the final will be increased to 42.5%.
