CMPT 102: Topics, Readings and Notes
Textbook
- C Program Design for Engineers, Second Edition
- Jeri R. Hanly and Elliot B. Koffman, Addison Wesley, 2001
Other References
For further reading, to provide alternate discussions of course material,
you may wish to refer to the following reference books:
- Engineering Problem Solving with C, third edition:
- Delores M. Etter, Prentice Hall, 2005
Links to Notes, Suggested Readings, Approximate Schedule
- Suggested readings should be completed before the day's lecture.
There is a lot of material in this course; you will get more
out of the lecture if you complete the readings before the lecture.
- I will sometimes cover a topic in more detail than the textbook.
You will be responsible for all such additional material presented in the lectures.
The summary material on the posted slides will help. Hearing the discussion on the
material in the lecture will be the most reliable
way to assure you don't miss anything important.
- An approximate schedule is outlined below, some topics may be given more or less time than indicated below
- Links to copies of some of the slides used in the next lecture will activated not later than 5pm
the day preceding the lecture.
- In some cases slides for more than one lecture may be posted as a single unit
